IAWA is a Pan-African movement fostering unity, identity, and purpose for young people across the African diaspora.
I Am Because We Are. IAWA is rooted in Ubuntu — the ancient African philosophy that recognizes our shared humanity. We believe that a young person cannot truly know who they are in isolation. Identity is forged in community, through challenge, through belonging.
We are building a generation of leaders who heal first, then lead. Young people who transform their communities not through force, but through purpose, discipline, and an unshakeable sense of who they are.
